Hero Architectural Illustrations
Hero Perspective — Ridgewood Row
The primary hero illustration presents a full row of homes at an eye-level to slightly elevated perspective, offering a clear, inviting view of the development within its streetscape. Stylized mountain forms and softened foreground landscaping frame the architecture without overpowering it, reinforcing the sense of Edgemont as both village and gateway to nature.
Subtle lifestyle elements—a child with a backpack, a cat in a window—introduce moments of familiarity and livability. These details are intentionally understated, adding warmth without distracting from the architectural composition.
Facade Close-Up — Materiality & Rhythm
A secondary illustration zooms in on a single unit facade, highlighting material transitions, window rhythm, and construction detail. Fine hatching and stippling techniques are used to suggest texture and depth, while a carefully adjusted line-weight hierarchy clarifies structure and articulation.
Shadow hatching beneath rooflines, refined siding patterns, and softened landscape forms contribute to a sense of dimensionality that remains legible at both large-scale signage and close-up print formats.
Neighbourhood Spot Illustrations & Illustrated Map To extend the story beyond the building itself, Shalanski Studio created four neighbourhood spot illustrations that capture the everyday charm of Edgemont Village—its walkability, residential calm, and community rhythm. These smaller moments act as a conntinuative rhythm between the architecture and place.

An illustrated map was also developed for use in the presentation centre and sales brochure, situating the Edgemont Collection within its broader context. Designed in the same visual language as the architectural illustrations, the map reinforces continuity across all touchpoints while helping prospective residents understand the development’s relationship to the village and surrounding landscape.
Together, the illustration suite positions the Edgemont Collection as an emotion as much as a set of homes. It presents a lifestyle rooted in place, expressed through craft, restraint, and narrative detail. The result is a visual system that feels thoughtful and timeless, offering a compelling alternative to conventional real estate imagery while supporting marketing, signage, and in-person sales experiences.
